And opening is available for a visiting academic engagement liaison. The hired candidate will help to integrate the Center’s work more deeply into the university’s academic culture and curriculum through campus-based engagement activities. The liaison will serve as the campus-focused co-chair of the Center’s engagement group to lead collaboratively in the areas of intellectual and administrative oversight, program development and execution, budget design and management, documentation and assessment, coordination of facilities and staff, and extensive contact with those internal and external to the university. The liaison will also serve as the project manager for the next iteration of the Art | Creativity | Diversity course. A bachelor’s degree in the performing arts or a related field is required. An opening is available for a technical design assistant (events technical director). The events technical director works with members of the events and production teams to support visiting artists and academic departments with their performances, manage logistics, and supervise stage crews. The successful candidate will plan and execute stage technical elements of productions for touring artists and School of Music faculty members and students and also may teach up to one course per year in stagecraft and technical theatre. A bachelor’s degree and expertise in stagecraft, rigging, theatrical safety practices, and related technologies are required. The deadline for applications is June 7, 2013.
