Costume Rental
With an astonishing array of more than 75,000 shirts, skirts, pants, dresses, capes, coats, jackets, and crinolines in the costumes collection and practically innumerable gloves, hats, socks, scarves, boots, slippers, and undergarments, Krannert Center is a marvelous destination for theatrical companies, movie production companies, school shows, and even elaborate partygoers. Prop Rental
With four storage locations across campus, the Prop Shop is home to a little bit of everything—from sofas to coffins to toys. Prop Shop rentals are by appointment on Mondays and Fridays from mid-August through May. Contact the Prop Shop staff at 217/333-9720.
Space Rental
Did you know that most spaces within the Center are available for rent? Private large rooms are available for meetings, luncheons, dinner parties, and receptions. The floor-to-ceiling windows of the Krannert Room and the rich carpets and ample tables of the Tryon Festival Theatre Foyer provide the ambience ideal for meetings, displays, receptions, or cocktail parties. When production schedules allow, we regularly book events on the theatre stages, which offer extraordinary spaces to make your function special. And don’t forget about the expansive Lobby!
